  4.     DIED. Thomas Sopwith, 101, British aviation pioneer who
  5. designed fighter planes for three wars, including the legendary
  6. Sopwith Camel, which shot down Germany's Red Baron in World War
  7. I; in King's Somborne, England. Sopwith began flying in 1910,
  8. but his influence on aviation continues today. Britain's Harrier
  9. jump jet and even Snoopy's doghouse Sopwith Camel owe their
  10. existence to him.
